Six Over Seven

Someone writes my sorrow
In forms I wish I didn't know
To everything we believe isn't real:
Raise your cups, we'll toast, we abandon all our posts
We’ll sing, we’ll feast and sink from coast to coast
Folding of possibilities
Reliving the world of holy trinities
The line was set, the night became so undone
I wait but I know not to expect anyone
In time, I'll lose all the words to say
I may have been running the wrong way
In time, I'll learn to forget
A voiceless world where you and I met
A voiceless world
The second chance may be the last of us
A voiceless world
The scenery’s starting to fade
Destruction of all that we made
Will fade
The sun is still young, the life will live on
When planets have sung the life it has lived
We have won
In time, I'll lose all the words to say
I may have been running the wrong way
In time, I'll learn to forget
A voiceless world where you and I met
Someone writes my sorrow
Breathe, you blind me and force me to read
But at nightfall you must take the lead
I can see what you want, can you see what you need?
So leave
A part of me has always known too much
Another life, I'd wait for angels to touch
But in this life we've done enough
A voice, a sight
A silence we broke for a night
We fought for ourselves like anyone else
And finally here but we know we're not here in time

Nurse December

She gives to me; a moment to carefully tread
The simplest of needs, the cleanest beliefs in words that she said
The cold is the sign; I return in a blinded release
To the closest of all homes, will I ever run to the place of my ease?
Fracture, my words will trace you to a trap
December, I leave to remember
It’s all just a game that’s kept me from her
“Don’t lie to me. I’ll be the last and everything you need”
You’ll call to the sea, entangle the lead
“Justify me; the secret will consume all honesty”
December, I’ll be free
Just give me one more chance
I’ve come to stay
But this time I won’t ever doubt decay
A partial trance
Deceptive play
Lead me to endings, the world has lead me stray
“Don’t lie to me. I’ll be the last and everything you need”
You’ll call to the sea, entangle the lead
“Justify me; the secret will consume all honesty”
December, I’ll be free
She gives to me; a secret to follow in turn
My crawl, her soul it will burn
The cold is the sign; I’ll follow your blindfolded run
I’ll send, the end will come

Absences

In a dream, he’s a limousine
He’s got him luxury but not the keys to the hotel inn
He’s waiting for a she-cabby for a little word but she’s faulty
It’s a drop of a penny cause’ it all seems funny till it gets messy
“Drive me; I got to get there in time, or else I’ll probably cross all the fine-lines
Without your foot on the gas I’ll make sure to run all of the stop signs”
Are we there yet? Are we there yet? It’s time to find a another outlet
We’re all biting a bullet... well the actor hasn’t come to the set yet
The path turns a blind eye; will a detour shorten the way?
The dead end closes the curtains on my delay
They’ll wait and wait in vain
I’ve gone to the dissonance within the rain
My trace has left your plans
The absence in slight of my hands
Could the worst be too happy? Would the wall keep an eye behind me?
Should they notify someone if the accident and confidence meets penalty?
Can the sun be a little weary? No... wait, you’re going crazy
Maybe the trace never ends and I’m stuck in the place of guilt eternally
Someone’s waiting
Someone’s always waiting
Open mind and patiently pacing
So I still end up trying
Someone’s waiting
Someone’s always waiting
When I’m the one to start doubting
The absence is always coming
